License logs will sometimes be requested by the support team to investigate issues with a license.  These logs are automatically created but will be put in different locations.  This article only applies to software versions that are using the CimLM licensing system.

Note:   The required steps will depend on the software version listed below.


CimLM v11+

Client Log: 

The log file is called "CimLmLib.log" and will be located in: :C:\ProgramData\CLM\LicFiles\<ApplicationName>

 

Server Logs: 

The location of these logs is: C:\ProgramData\CLM\License Server\Log

  • CimLmService_<yyyy-mm>.log (for example: CimLmService_2019-02.log) 

  • CimMonitor.log


If desired, an additional server log file can be created to track client usage: LicenseServerXMLLog.pdf

CimLM v10.8 and older

Client Log: 

The application sets the log full path.

3D Sprint: [Documents]\3D Systems\3D Sprint\Logs\LicenseManage\CimLib.log 
3DXpert: C:\ProgramData\Oqton\3DXpert\[Version]\Data\log\CimLmLib_Client.log
 

Server Logs: 

The location of these logs is <Installation Folder>\Log. For example: C:\Program Files\Oqton\License Server\Log

  • CimLmService_<yyyy-mm>.log (for example: CimLmService_2019-02.log) 

  • CimLmUsers.log 

  • CimMonitor.log

  • CimLmLib_<ProdName>.log (for example: CimLmLib_CimatronE.log)
